Who the Yankees Could Have Traded For Kris Bryant?

If you’re wondering who the Yankees could have traded for Kris Bryant, you’ve come to the right place. After a long season of uncertainty, the team seems ready to make a change. With the trade deadline fast approaching, it’s time for the Yankees to make their move. There are several options to look at.

Starling Marte

If you’ve been watching Yankees baseball games for any length of time, you’ve probably seen the recent buzz about Starling Marte. The left fielder has been under contract with the Yankees for half a season. This past summer, the Yankees made a strong push to acquire him. Marte would provide a major upgrade in center field and the Yankees would love to have him on the roster.

JesAos Luzardo

If you’re looking for a player to fill a bullpen spot in the upcoming season, consider JesAos Luzardo of the Nationals. Luzardo was drafted by the Nationals in the third round of the 2016 draft. Prior to undergoing Tommy John surgery two months before the draft, he was considered one of the best pitchers in the country. After recovering from the surgery, he made his pro debut on June 28th, pitching for the Gulf Coast League. Luzardo is now pitching in the Gulf Coast League and has a 1.32 ERA in 13 innings pitched. His K/BB ratio is 15:1.

Fernando Tatis Jr.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is a Dominican professional baseball player who plays for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball. Tatis is also known as El Nio or Bebo. He has been called the “dominican El Nio”.

Kris Bryant

The Yankees have been linked to a trade for Kris Bryant. While the Mariners are one game back of the Astros in the AL West and seven games behind the Yankees in the AL wild card, the team is struggling to put together an offense and win the division. Adding Kris Bryant to their roster would give them an immediate boost. With a young, versatile bat in left field, he could be a great fit for the Mariners.

Lou Trivino

With the MLB Trade Deadline just around the corner, the New York Yankees are going all out to improve their pitching staff. In addition to adding reliever Lou Trivino and right-handed starter Frankie Montas, the Yankees also received four minor-league players in the deal. In exchange for the former, the A’s received left-handed pitchers JP Sears and Ken Waldichuk and right-hander Luis Medina. They also got a package of almost-ready arms from the Oakland Athletics.

Clayton Beeter

After being traded to the Yankees for Joey Gallo, Clayton Beeter will now pitch for Double-A Somerset. While he is not a big name in baseball, Beeter showed promise in his Double-A career. In his most recent start for Somerset, Beeter threw five innings with seven strikeouts and two hits. He has a 2.13 ERA in seven starts. His last Double-A season, he struck out 41 batters in 25.1 innings and posted a 5.75 ERA in 18 appearances for Double-A Tulsa.
